Neil Keep loves entertaining seniors and it shows.

Neil uses famous songs, character voices, short stories and gentle humour to engage and energize audiences. Though most of his seniors' shows are straight-up entertainment, audiences often dance, sing, clap and tap along to the incredible music he brings. A few sing-alongs are usually on tap for those who like to sing along.

With an ever-widening musical repertoire covering Jazz, Swing, Big Band, Crooners, Pop, Soft Rock, Elvis, Country & Western, Neil has done 1000+ shows at 100+ different venues since starting on the seniors' entertainment "circuit" in April 2012. He is the go-to favourite of many facilities, in many cases booked a year in advance.

Enthusiastic listeners often come right up to him after the show to say his repertoire was "Spot-on", "Something for everyone", "Delightfully unique", "I haven't heard THOSE songs in years!", "All my favourites, I sang along to every one of them!" "The Willie Nelson / Julio Iglesias / Elvis impressions were so much fun, how DO you DO that with your voice?" "You are by far the best singer we've ever had, and sweetie... we've had a lot!"

The #1 comment however, is always... "WHEN WILL YOU BE BACK?"

One of Neil's greatest joys is helping adults "in care" forget they are "in care" for a little while.

Neil will be the first to admit he's always been a pretty pathetic instrumentalist, so he uses backing tracks for accompaniment on solo senior shows. The tracks provide a much bigger sound, and cover several different genres perfectly during one show.

One hour show, Neil with backing tracks:

PRIVATE EVENTS:
Birthdays, House Parties, Anniversaries, Retirements, Marathons, Receptions, Volunteer Appreciation Events, Fundraisers, Supper Clubs, Theme Clubs/Associations.

Neil will bring his SOLO show to entertain your guests - his repertoire extends well past what he usually does for the seniors' shows.
$175  for one-hour SOLO "private event" show ($50 per each additional 45 minute set or portion thereof to a maximum of two additional, 45 minute sets)

Travel outside Winnipeg's perimeter is subject to a mileage fee.

Neil wears long black pants (or shorts, if it's warm) and a LOUD, fun shirt for most shows unless the event theme clearly calls for something a little more dressy.

For the entire month of December he wears a TUXEDO.

Neil always has funny hats and an outrageous Elvis mask that audiences can laugh at.

Neil will not use in-house sound equipment under most circumstances - Neil brings and operates his own sound system. If the venue is huge or you are entertaining over 200 people - that's when you need to talk about a bigger PA system.

Neil has been singing since before he could talk, roughly 22,280 days.

He currently sings lead vocals for two Winnipeg-based bands including:
The BMW (Bavarian Musik Werks),
Ricky Bogart & The New Casbah Band,

Neil is part of a duet singing sweet "Jordonnaires" back up vocals for a touring tribute show: The InClines - Sweet Dreams of Patsy Cline.

Neil has a 2011 CD called Mr. E & The Jazz Gumshoes. There aren't many left!
